Cyprus Mission of 200 people at the Robotex International

The Cyprus Computer Society (CCS) has just announced the impressive number of people who will travel to Estonia for the ROBOTEX International Robotics Competition! 200 people, organizers, volunteers and contestants from 6 years old with their coaches and families involve the Cyprus national team at the Robotex International to be held in Tallinn, Estonia from 30 November to 2 December 2018.

The 2nd Panvyprian Robotics Competition Robotex was organized by CCS with the University of Cyprus and UNEK as co-organizers, under the auspices of the Digital Champion, Cyta as a Strategic Partner and Bank of Cyprus as Youth Supporter. At Robotex Cyprus, which took place on 23-24 June at the Sports Center of the University of Cyprus, there were 871 contestants, students and adults. The 125 winners of the competition, who were awarded in September at a special ceremony, won the right to participate in the Robotex International.

Therefore, at the end of November most at their own expense will travel for the most magical robotic experience. CCS, with many years of experience in organizing the national missions representing Cyprus in international competitions in the fields of ICT, is the first time that anticipates such a great response by the general public. The impressive number of the Cypriot mission in Estonia demonstrates that CCS's non-profit goals to upgrade educational robotics and attract young people into STEMs in general have been achieved.

Good luck to our robotic team!
